Picture the American dream of the open road, the rugged outdoorsman traverses the high-desert of the wild west. The dawning sun’s rays flicker through the dust unsettled from packing his rucksack and tent after breaking camp. The tin canteen of coffee steams softly in his sure grip as his Jeep Grand Cherokee rumbles across uncharted dunes.
Now look in your rearview mirror. Notice the nine empty seats. Hear the engine idling as you sit in traffic. Feel the empty space around you in your vehicle despite being bumper to bumper with the rest of the commuters stuck in their own cubicles of wasted space. Has the West already been tamed? Are our lives not as sport utilized as we thought? Why are we buying these ludicrously large vehicles? Warm your seats, while Mat & Veronique defog the hazy vision of these guzzling giants.
