It is the age of technology. Civilians have the ability to joyride into space. Warfare has evolved into isolated strikes by unmanned drones. At the touch of a button, food is delivered to your door, which has an electronic eye that vets the delivery man and opens itself. The world of the future is a marvel of efficiency. Science has even unlocked the ability to manipulate our DNA. But there is another force that has had this power for long aeons. The virus.
This flashy world we’ve built has some cool gadgets, but it cannot save us from our beastly vulnerabilities. Covid-19 has shown the weakness in modern globalization. But stranger still, it has changed how we think about sickness. Any and every sniffle is a trigger in this era of plague. The common cold was once taken for granted, but now we shy away from this once trivial mark of the beast. Stay six feet away from Veronique as we hold a witch-trial to determine if it’s Covid-19 or just… Being Sick.
